DIRECTIONS FROM Raleigh-Durham Airport, 

and from I-40 EAST & WEST


 

Directions from Raleigh-Durham Airport to Microbac Southern Testing

 

1. From RDU Airport take the exit onto I-40 East toward Raleigh, which leads to the I-440 Beltline around Raleigh. 

Within the first couple of miles on I-40 get into the extreme left lane to get onto the I-440 Beltline (also I-40/US-64)  around the south side of Raleigh. Watch for I-40 Exit 301, which is on the left.  Take this exit, which will lead you to US-64/264 East to Rocky Mount/Wilson.  

 

2. After taking  I-40 Exit 301, continue around the I-440 Beltline for approximately 4 miles to Exit 14 on the right for the new US 64/264 bypass. Take this Exit, No. 14, East toward Rocky Mount/Wilson. As you pass the outskirts of Zebulon stay to the right and take US 264 East to Wilson/Greenville. (Do not stay on US-64 which continues to the left toward Rocky Mount). 

 

3. This point is approximately 25 miles to the lab. After you go by exits for Bailey and Sims, watch for, and take Exit 36 B (Alt 264 East) to Wilson.  (After going through one stop light, you will pass by several motels, and will go over I-95.) 

 

4. After passing over I-95, continue on through another traffic light, then turn LEFT at the next traffic light onto Airport Blvd..  Go about a mile on Airport Blvd., and turn left onto Airport Drive, (there is a traffic light at this intersection).

 

Microbac Southern Testing Division is about 400 yards down Airport Drive on the left.  Visitor parking spaces are by the front door on the right side of the building.   

 

Approximate travel time from Raleigh-Durham Airport to the lab: 60 minutes.

 

Traveling on I-40 from points West of I-95:

  1. Stay on I-40, heading East, until you reach the I-95 junction.
  2. Take I-95 north, (about 45 miles), then exit at #121 onto US-264 Alternate East toward Wilson.                                  

  3. Travel east towards Wilson. At the second stoplight turn LEFT onto Airport Blvd. Go approx 1.5 miles to the first light and turn LEFT onto Airport Drive. Go approximately 500 yards. We are the first building on the left.

 

Traveling from Wilmingtion and points south and east

  1. Get on I-40 heading west
  2. Exit at the I-95 North junction
  3. Head towards Wilson on I-95 until you reach exit #121, exit here onto US-264 Alternate East.
  4. Travel east towards Wilson. At the second stoplight turn LEFT onto Airport Blvd. Go approx 1.5 miles to the first light and turn LEFT onto Airport Drive.  Go approximately 500 yards. We are the first building on the left.
