Sampling, Scope of Services

Our field sampling group is available for the collection of many types of environmental monitoring samples, including: wastewater, ground water, drinking water, and soil. Our Industrial Hygiene sampling includes passive badges or active samplers for organics, inorganics, metals, particulates, microbiological-containing particles.

Environmental Sampling

• Wastewater Sampling Equipment - Multiple ISCO grab/composite samplers and a sequential sampler that can collect up to 24 individual grab samples over extended periods.
• Ground Water Sampling Equipment - Disposable and reusable bailers.
• Sampling Equipment Rental - For clients who wish to collect their own samples, we can provide samplers on a lease basis or disposable bailers can be purchased as needed.
• On-site Testing - Our field sampling technicians can perform select on-site measurements as required (including pH, conductivity, and temperature).
• Sample Kits and Coolers are provided at no additional cost.

Industrial Hygiene Sampling

• Indoor-air studies, personnel monitoring, and area monitoring in your facility.
• Noise surveys, light surveys, and microbial sampling services available.
• We can provide assistance with formulating a sampling plan by performing a walk-through industrial hygiene survey.
• Our Industrial Hygiene Program is directed by a Certified Industrial Hygienist with over 13 years of experience designing field sampling studies.
• Southern Testing is certified by the American Industrial Hygiene Association for analysis of industrial hygiene samples.

Sample Pickup Service

Southern Testing offers sample pickup service for all clients who are within a 75 mile radius of our Wilson, NC location. Sample pickups and kit deliveries are $10.00 per stop for the schedule listed below. Pickup/delivery on days other than those shown below is available for $20.00 per stop. Please contact Jeff Taylor, Field Services Coordinator, at 252-237-4175, ext. 223, at least one day in advance of needed pickup.
